About the author
I’m Chanel, a Vancouver-based entrepreneur, writer, photographer, life-long student, sister, daughter and lover. I’m quirky, friendly, under twenty and insatiably curious about everything and anything. I ask a lot of questions, and look for a lot of answers. I like to help people. According to a survey my closest friends and family took, my best character trait is my ability to be empathetic. I might also be crazy, and/or violent. Maybe.
In my free time, you can usually find me cooking or baking (or sharing the recipe with you), enjoying records from the 1930s, knitting, sewing, taking photos, telling (true) tales of horror and hilarity, drawing, writing about life, drinking copious amount of hot chocolate or chai tea (vanilla soymilk, two sugars), cleaning, playing around with code, or dancing—I love dancing.
About the website
The purpose of the site is to be a collective database of my life, experiences, knowledge, and skills. For these very reasons you will notice that it has a rather broad range of content—from recipes to web design articles—and is not specialized to any single topic or category. I think of CHNL not as a website, but as online representation of me.
The aim of this site is to inform, entertain and help others through my experiences and knowledge gained. After all, what’s a life lived, knowledge gained and skills aquired really worth if it isn’t shared? I don’t claim to know it all, but with what I know, I plan to share—and this website happens to be the perfect outlet for that.
